Bloomington Pentecostal Church of God – 1985 Christmas Cantata

Hello all!

Imagine my surprise when I came across this cassette tape in a box of old Christmas decorations last week!

Yes, that's my Grandma's handwriting...

Yes, that’s my Grandma’s handwriting…

A few weeks before, I had some of the songs roaming through my head and was unable to find any versions online… Which I felt was probably okay because I liked “our” version best. I figured that maybe some time this next year I would find the VHS tape (which I have yet to find, but know I have) and would just have to wait until then. What a nice little Christmas surprise!

The first song is missing a large chunk, and some of the narration seems to be missing as well. That means a few solos are missing. ūüôĀ (If memory serves me right, it was Sandi, Kelly, & Ruthie.) But this is exactly what was on the tape.

I’m also pretty sure I butchered some of the song titles. Oh well.

Merry Christmas, God bless, and enjoy!

(I have many photos and other audio cassettes. If you would like to be kept up to date as I digitize it over the next few years, feel free to find me on Facebook, leave a comment, or send me an email.)
