Why Are Children So Messy?

I, for one, know that my house will NEVER be SPOTLESS. At least the one on this side of Glory. I have 4 children for goodness sake! lol Four, blessed, wonderful children, whom have to have fires lit under their bottoms to get ANYTHING DONE lately. (Not literally, of course. My children have not been harmed by fire or in anyway for the sake of this blog or for any other reason for that matter.)

I’m sure it’s not just my “chilruns” whom have become lazy and and unruly. They, for sure and certain, are getting their fair share of discipline. BUT, how hard is it to pick up your dirty clothes off of the floor? Can’t be any harder than sitting there building your Legos and reaching for your Hot-Wheels.

Why are children so messy?

Four, blessed, wonderful children, an amazing husband that is a great provider, a cute little dog “Chief”, and a partridge in a pear tree…

All four of them are old enough to know not to throw trash on the floor, but it doesn’t mean that the dog won’t drag it out or they’re not going to put it on the floor anyways. If you see trash on the floor, pick it up… DUH! If the trash can is overflowing, take the trash out…DUH!

They do think that our money tree over harvested this year… you know? The one in our backyard, right beside the pond made of liquid gold? Every time we turn around, our oldest needs money for one school club or another. There are countless fundraisers going on and of course, everyone wants you to buy from them but they don’t have the money to buy from you… Wait! Did you hear that? Ohhhh, just more money falling from my money tree out back. 🙂

Why are kids so messy?

Our lives may not be perfect, but our lives are definitely more than blessed…

As I come to the end of this blog, I look around at the basket of socks begging to join their long lost partners; I see the few dog toys laying around because our dog can not stand for them to be put away; I see the pile of clothes that I folded a bit ago that belong to my oldest daughter, who has yet to put them away; The couch pillows are in desperate need of fluffing: and that’s just the living room… Dare I make my way through the house? Pray people, PRAY! I’m going in…

I Feel A RANT Coming On…

First off, let me start with saying that this is to NO Offense what so ever to smokers!!

So, here goes…. I absolutely can not stand it when someone will use the “last” of their money to go buy cigarettes or alcohol! Instead of buying a loaf of bread and a pack of bologna, or Ramen Noodles for their kids, or putting a little gas in the car to get them going at least a little further, they smoke up their money. I know people right now, that would buy lottery tickets, cigarettes, beer, or drugs before doing for their family. Instead, they ask everyone else to feed their kids so that they can go out and do whatever they want to or leave them with the grandparents to raise while they use the benefits for their selfish desires.

Also, government assistance, such as food stamps, is a privilege. Yet there are those who will sell off the food for cash so that they can have the money to support their habit. It really makes my blood boil! I’m all for government assistance, if you qualify, but don’t abuse it! It’s for those who really need it and not for the ones who just want to bum around thru life free of any responsibility.

So, now that I got that off my chest, can I get an Amen?

Blessed

In today’s economy, it’s very easy to be discouraged about our financial woes. To think about the needs, the wants, and wishes…

Picture this, Sicily, 1923…. Just Joking (for those of you who get this! 🙂 )

Sophia Petrillo AKA: Karen

You take your children into your local department store, mall, etc, and hear a chorus of “Can I get this?”, “Can I have one of those?”, “When can I get one?”, “That’s not fair; Why does everyone else get one?” Can’t you just hear it now? From a young age, I have tried to teach my children that we can not keep up with the Jones’. God made us the Wilds and we have a hard enough time keeping up with ourselves!

God has been the One to carry us through our good times and bad times. My husband and I have been married 14 and a half years, and if it had not been for God’s guidance, who knows where we would be right now. We are not financially set by any means. We are actually late on a few bills. But we do not lean on any person or thing to get us through. David works 2 jobs to take care of our 4 children and ourselves. We do not have government help. (If you can get it, go for it, but I believe it will be non-existant before too long, but that’s another story for another time.) We only have God to rely on! We are not spoiled. My children are not spoiled. We are blessed!

You ask, “how can I call myself “blessed” when I don’t know where the money will be coming from to make my next house or car payment, or to pay the next high electricity bill?” Well, you’re reading this right now, so that means God woke you up and you still have breath in you! Most of you do get at least 3 meals a day. That is a huge blessing compared to knowing that there are those out there who haven’t eaten in days.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:28-34:

“And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

God knows every little thing that we have need of! He is Jehovah Jireh – my Provider! Seek Him first. He says right here in His word, for us not to dwell on our needs, but to have faith that He will meet them. Thank You, God, for Your blessings on me!

Satan would try to make us doubt and bring fear into our lives, but he was defeated long ago. Do not fear whether or not you will make it. Our lives are in Gods hands!

So until next time, may God lead you and guide you, and reign Himself on you!
