Living Water – And A Group Look Link Up!

Living Water – And A Group Look Link Up!

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:37-38 NKJV

We all do it and it never fails.

Things will be going well in our lives and then something will happen. We search everywhere for answers, thinking that we are relying on God, but we are actually looking somewhere else. Our souls are thirsty, and instead of quenching that thirst with the living water that Jesus offers, we try to fill that need with everything else we can find. People, hobbies, stature, money, things, and the list goes on. We look everywhere but where we should already have our eyes focused.

Living Water - Raising Sticky Hands To Heaven

The same goes for many of us who turned away from God at some point in time. We sought out an imitation to quench our thirst. But just as we all know that our bodies need water instead of being loaded down with soda and sports drinks, we tried everything we could before coming back to Jesus to find living water.

Only One can quench our souls’ thirst and leave it overflowing. Overflowing with rivers! That One is Jesus. He is standing with his arms open, ready to welcome us and give us the living water we need. Living water that is better than anything that this world has to offer.

Are you thirsty? Run straight to Him for living water!

Let’s stop wasting time and energy on the imitation alternatives and be left overflowing so that others can be lead to God as well.
